TrackTown Events, LLC (TrackTown) is the home to track & field athletes across the world. A non-profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, TrackTown is committed to setting a standard of excellence in track & field by hosting premier events, creating a supportive environment for elite athletic performances, being a leader in sustainable event management, and inspiring the next generation of athletes and fans. 
 
TrackTown was responsible for organizing the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2015 and 2022 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, and the 2016 and 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. In partnership with USA Track & Field, the organization brought the 2022 World Athletics Championships to the United States for the first time. TrackTown delivers the Diamond League’s recurring Prefontaine Classic, recognized as one of the world’s best track & field meets.
 
Position overview:
The Digital Video Producer/Editor will sit on the Digital team and work directly with the Sr. Director of Digital Innovation & Communications on creating content for TrackTown owned channels to tell the stories surrounding the Eugene running community and TrackTown’s portfolio of events. This role collaborates with the Social Media Manager, Digital Coordinator, and Director of Brand Marketing on ideation and execution. This position will also work directly with both local and remote contracted professionals to fulfill assignments, as necessary.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Shoot, edit, and produce multi-platform, year-round video content primarily for TrackTown owned channels, including the Prefontaine Classic
  • Contribute to all phases of production, including ideation, scripting, planning, lighting, sound, recording, editing, and producing
  • Work independently, with contracted professionals, and with the Digital and Brand teams on relevant phases of projects
  • Maintain and execute on a production schedule
  • Organize and log assets in the media library
  • Stay up to date on current video production techniques
  • Collaborate with team members and contracted third parties to create and execute ideas that elevate the TrackTown brand through visual storytelling
 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–5 years in a video production role, sports industry preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with sport of track & field
  • Familiarity with digital-first content formatting
  • Experience with post-production and graphics software, including Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects
  • Experience with and understanding of all studio elements, including audio, video, and lighting

  • Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, including coverage of all TrackTown events as required
  • Be located primarily in Eugene, Oregon (moderate flexible scheduling allowed outside of event season. Event season typically runs May– July but is subject to change based on portfolio of events.)
