TrackTown Events, LLC (TrackTown) is the home to track & field athletes across the world. A non-profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, TrackTown is committed to setting a standard of excellence in track & field by hosting premier events, creating a supportive environment for elite athletic performances, being a leader in sustainable event management, and inspiring the next generation of athletes and fans. 
 
TrackTown was responsible for organizing the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2015 and 2022 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Portland, and the 2016 and 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. In partnership with USA Track & Field, the organization brought the 2022 World Athletics Championships to the United States for the first time. TrackTown delivers the Diamond League’s recurring Prefontaine Classic, recognized as one of the world’s best track & field meets.

Position overview:
The Digital Coordinator will work directly with the Social Media Manager on the support and execution of the Digital team’s endeavors. This position will focus on digital-first content creation, online community management, and ideation around campaigns (brand, retail, ticket sales, etc.). The Digital Coordinator will help maintain digital marketing campaign workflow, ideate and create content for digital channels (social media, email, web, etc.), and support day-to-day digital projects and long-term team initiatives. 
 
This position has the unique opportunity to gain full-time experience in the sports industry while learning directly from Digital, Content, and Brand professionals. 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Own the creation of TrackTown’s newsletter, including content planning, exclusive Q&As, local event information aggregation, etc.
  • Create content and provide coverage as assigned by the Digital Marketing Manager, in alignment with the Digital and Brand teams
  • Bring fresh and pie-in-the sky ideas to the Digital and Brand teams
  • Assist the Social Media Manager in monitoring the feeds and online conversation related to the TrackTown brand, as necessary
  • Assist the Digital Video Producer/Editor in ideation for digital-first video content. Act as a second set of hands on shoots, as necessary.
 
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Interest in the sports digital marketing space
  • Familiarity with the sport of track & field
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and knowledge of the digital landscape

  • Be located primarily in Eugene, Oregon (moderate flexible scheduling allowed outside of event season. Event season typically runs May–July but is subject to change based on portfolio of events.)
