Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsorship Sales
The Superlative Group, in partnership with The San Diego Symphony Orchestra, is seeking a Corporate Partnership Sales Manager to work on corporate ticket sales, corporate sponsorship sales, premium seating sales and sponsorship contract fulfilment efforts on behalf of The San Diego Symphony. As the San Diego Symphony opens a new performance venue, The Shell, the objective in this newly created position is to sell comprehensive sponsorship packages, premium ticket packages and develop existing partnerships.



This position is based in San Diego, California, will report to the Vice President, Corporate Partnerships & Development and work closely with the COO, CEO, and other key executives. 



Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of experience selling ticket packages and/or developing corporate partnership packages and relationships, in addition to the responsibilities and requirements listed below.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Identifying and/or creating new leads through research, outreach, cold calling and/or existing relationships
  • Setting qualified appointments on an ongoing basis
  • Creating and presenting premium ticket package and/or corporate partnership packages tailored to client’s objectives and prospective partners’ marketing strategies
  • Maintaining timely and accurate records detailing sales performance, appointments, recaps, account management, and all other activities relating to corporate partner prospects
  • Maintaining and developing relationships with corporate partners
  • Cooperation within the organization and partnership fulfilment and contract execution
  • Demonstrating innovation and initiative
  • Working under stress of deadlines and prioritizing time to optimize efforts to achieve client’s financial and other objectives
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in ticket and/or corporate partnership sales
  • Proven track record of closing new business revenue
  • Experiencing in maintain and expanding corporate relationships within an organization
  • Excellent work ethic with a creative, strategic mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to exceed established goals while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Exceptional listening, learning, and creative skills
  • Evidence of self-motivation, combined with team-orientation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Regional travel for meetings and/or presentations
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Greater San Diego Area
