The Manager – E-Commerce Strategy will be the driving force behind Rank + Rally’s online retail strategy and execution to deliver sales growth through various online channels. This role is key in establishing and executing best-in-class practices for building on a fast-growing e-commerce business to deliver online retail experiences in new and exciting ways, defining the product vision, and evangelizing that vision within the broader organization. As the strategic leader of Rank + Rally’s digital presence you will be responsible for understanding, monitoring, and driving improvement and growth in all e-commerce businesses. This position will collaborate with cross-functional partners (Store Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and IT) to build a global perspective on planning, content strategy and development, promotional campaigns and other online marketing, product merchandising, website design, customer service, web analytics, and web technologies. You will be responsible for the development and management of the customer experience including site navigation, content, development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns. As a key member of the Rank + Rally leadership team, you will also ensure that all e-commerce operations elevate the Omni-channel experience for all fans and consumers across key accounts.

Essential Duties:

  • Serve as subject matter expert and represent digital retail effectively in support of business strategy and objectives, working with teams across the organization.
  • Partner with divisional leadership to develop the e-commerce experience portfolio, define key strategies, and create road maps that will enable Rank + Rally to achieve their annual business objectives.
  • Drive the development and execution of a robust e-commerce strategy, factoring in industry trends, best practices, competitive strengths/weaknesses, governing policies and regulations to drive continued growth and expansion of Rank + Rally’s e-commerce businesses.
  • Align on KPIs to measure business performance and manage to those KPIs in support of the operating plan. Set goals and prepare a plan for the business in alignment with short/long-term Omni-channel strategy and company’s goals.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of content across websites and online marketplaces including product and promotional merchandising, online marketing campaigns, website design, customer service, web analytics, and web technologies. Partner with Marketing & Creative, Analytics, IT, and Operations to develop and drive site road maps, merchandising strategies, and marketing plans.
  • Lead development of customer acquisition plans that are relevant for each partner’s brand positioning to drive incremental traffic and revenue for those respective sites. Assesses new digital marketing and business development opportunities, provide insightful analysis and recommendations to reach target consumers in new and creative ways.
  • Keep up-to-date with current technologies and trends including mobile, UX, personalization, AI, analytics, SEO and A/B testing tools/methodologies
  • Drive the development of the mobile experience, mobile apps, and future mobile capabilities that are relevant and integrated with other digital and customer efforts for a seamless experience.
  • In concert with Analytics and IT, lead the overall prioritization process for evaluating new features and enhancements, rooted in site KPI performance to identify opportunities for improvement/optimization and structure appropriate experimentation roadmap
  • Manage external resources and vendors to successfully deliver on business goals and objectives as required (customer service, fulfillment, etc.)
Required Qualifications (Education, Job Knowledge, and Skills):

  • Experience in digital retail/marketing/e-commerce, preferably with proven success at building, maintaining, and scaling e-commerce businesses in/for an Omni-channel business.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative and willingness to take risks.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
  • Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.
  • Able to interact and work with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to understand e-commerce business models including trends, competitors, distribution channels, customer base, promotion, and products
  • Experience on current e-commerce industry best practices with ability to consult on cross-functional projects to ensure e-commerce principles are incorporated
  • Experience leveraging social media platforms as part of an overall digital retail strategy
  • Common web programming language knowledge helpful but not required (Java, JavaScript, CSS/HTML, C++, etc.)
  • Knowledge and working capabilities within Photoshop, Illustrator, and web/media technology is preferred
