Business Development Manager - Indiana Sports Corp – Indianapolis, Indiana 
Position Overview 
The Business Development Manager is a relationship and program management role with primary responsibilities focused on supporting the Business Development Department’s sales efforts and managing the fulfillment of the Membership Program and other corporate partnerships connected to Indiana Sports Corp events. The role will ensure all deliverables are met, tracked, and managed to deadlines. 
In addition to the primary fulfillment and sales support responsibilities, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and cultivating existing donor and sponsor relationships, while securing new sales/revenues and corporate partnerships.
This position will report to the Senior Vice President, Business Development. 

General Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
  • Manage and track sales fulfillment opportunities and support sponsorship activations related to Indiana Sports Corp events and Indiana Sports Corp’s Membership Program.
  •  Provide sales support to other members of the Business Development team, while helping execute all fundraising strategies which includes Membership recruitment (Corporate and Individual), organizational sponsorships, selling ticket packages, and selling event sponsorships (Indiana Sports Corp Corporate Challenge, Big Ten Football Championship, Big Ten Basketball Tournaments, Inspiring Sports Charity Golf Tournament, and Indy Ultimate). 
  • Research organizations and individuals to grow the Membership roster at all levels (Corporate and Individual), event sponsorships, and event ticket packages and suite sales.
  • Create dynamic and effective sales presentations and client entertainment/engagement opportunities that create impact and support Business Development’s efforts to reach and exceed annual goals. 
  • Cultivate existing Corporate Membership relationships and partnerships to upgrade support and increase financial impact.
  • Participate in the development and management of event budgets that include sponsorship programs, fulfillment, and ticket packages.
  • Establish relationships with all Patrons/Members, sponsors, event supporters and other key accounts/stakeholders in the community.   
  • Help maintain and manage current, viable prospect lists for Membership and event sponsorships. 
  • Collaborate with the Event Department to determine and execute value-in-kind (VIK) needs for events and other company needs.   
  • Work with the Marketing team to leverage Salesforce CRM data to generate sales and support marketing automation strategies.
  • Serve a primary role as the manager of Salesforce data for the Business Development Department.
  • Represent Indiana Sports Corp at community and networking events while seeking on-going outreach and relationship-building opportunities.
  • Engage with community volunteers and lead efforts associated with Local Organizing Committees supporting Indiana Sports Corp events.
 
 Qualifications 
  •  Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  •  3+ years’ experience in sales, marketing, or related field.
  • Experience in sales management, sponsorship sales and fundraising campaigns
  • Experience developing and executing sponsor activation plans.
  • An established network in the greater Indianapolis business community is preferred.
