Indiana Sports Corp provides internship opportunities that immerse students in a professional working environment while introducing them to the not-for-profit industry. Internships are available based on business needs and can include event and volunteer operations; communications; marketing; graphic design; community engagement; sports tourism; business development; and finance. ISC’s fast paced and entrepreneurial working environment offers each intern a rich experience within his/her chosen area; however, interns are exposed to all functional areas of the company to reinforce the important role collaboration plays in a successful company.

Sports Tourism Internship
Term: Spring 2024 (January 16 - April 30, 2024) and Summer 2024 (May 13 - August 23, 2024).
Compensation: $2000 Stipend PER SEMESTER. Payment schedule discussed during the interview.
Location: On-site - Indianapolis, Indiana. Relocation or housing is not available.

This internship will help students develop skills, gain experience, and increase knowledge of the Sports Tourism industry. This experience will include assisting with Indiana Sports Corp’s programs and initiatives focused on promoting and hosting sporting events across the State of Indiana. This includes the operations of Team Indiana; a statewide association serving Convention & Visitor Bureaus, Sports Commissions, and Event Owners.

Team Indiana’s mission is to promote sports tourism and positive economic development statewide through a variety of actions, programs and efforts to attract and encourage the hosting of sporting events in Indiana.

Tasks include:

Assisting with the Team Indiana grant program
Social media accounts
Maintaining team-ind.org website and newsletters
Designing promotional materials
Member outreach

In addition, this internship provides the opportunity for students to assist with various Indiana Sports Corp projects. Projects include on-site support of Indiana Sports Corp events, event operations, meeting planning, research projects, administrative tasks, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

Undergraduate

Any undergraduate student who is currently enrolled or accepted to an accredited college or university.

Graduate

Any student who has recently graduated from an accredited college or university or any student who is currently enrolled in or accepted to an accredited graduate school.
