Summary: The Manager of Corporate Partnerships supports Greater Cleveland Sports Commission by developing, renewing and managing organizational alliances focused on providing resources to help GCSC carry out its mission to measurably improve the economy of Greater Cleveland and enrich the community by attracting, creating, managing and enhancing significant sporting and competitive events.  
 
Essential Duties: 
  • Lead sponsorship sales for all relevant GCSC events including internal fundraisers 
  • Lead table and ticket sales for annual fundraiser, Greater Cleveland Sports Awards 
  • When necessary, provide Value-In-Kind opportunities for events and organizational needs 
  • Create and manage activation grids to ensure that all intended sponsor assets are fulfilled 
  • Provide all partners with recap books after each event 
  • Manage Corporate Partnership interns throughout each season 
  • Through networking and research, ensure a rich database of prospective Corporate Partners 
  • Lead all hospitality events for Velocity funders for 2024 NCAA Women’s Final Four  
  • Meet/exceed $1 million 2024 Pan American Masters Games sponsorship goal  
  • Lead Corporate Engagement Committee 2024 Pan American Masters Games 
  • Assist in the preparation of organizational presentations and proposals 
  • Attend and work all GCSC events, including nights and weekends 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Degree from either a two or four-year accredited college/university OR 2-4 years of relevant work experience OR combination of education and relevant work experience. 
  • 3-5 years of sponsorship sales experience (sports and entertainment sales experience preferred)  
  • Ability to work with others in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience preparing and working events 
  • Experience with CRM platforms

  • Outstanding organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
