Overview:
FanGate Solutions is a customer service driven company here to provide live entertainment and sports venues with a professional team of trained event day staff.  Our philosophy is to treat our client’s fans like our own with a knowledgeable, reliable, and fan friendly team. We are looking for eager, highly motivated, and friendly individuals aspiring to work in the sports and entertainment industry and are willing to travel.

As an Event Staff Intern at FanGate Solutions, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in ticket sales, marketing and special events.  Interns will receive training on: giving top notch customer service to exceed our client’s expectations and increase fans overall experience, stress testing on handling the pressures of a fast-paced box office, sales and upselling techniques to increase revenue, ticket software training, fostering business relationships and defusing customer issues.

This internship is directly related to events at Eldora Speedway and candidates must be able to work the following dates: ( at least all dates through August)
  • June 9, 10, 11 & 12
  • June 26
  • July 14, 15, 16 & 17
  • August 7
  • September 5
  • Sept 8, 9, 10 & 11
  • Sept 24 & 25

Responsibilities:
  • Aid guests with accurate game and promotional information
  • Selling and/or picking up event tickets at various venues
  • Provide problem solving techniques to assist all customer inquiries and concerns
  • Represent FanGate Solutions and its clients in a professional and ethical manner
  • Punctual and self-motivated with an attention to detail
  • Communicate all pertinent information with clients and guests
  • Provide & maintain the highest level of customer service to clients and guests
  • Work various shows & events that promote FanGate Solutions and its clients in a positive manner 
  • Closely adhere to the health and sanitation guidelines set by FanGate Solutions and its clients
  • May be required to make outbound sales calls
  • Perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned by managers

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Willing to travel to local and/or out of state venues
  • Ability to work untraditional hours including weekends, evenings and some holidays
  • College student majoring in advertising, marketing, sport management, or related fields is a plus
  • Eager to start & build a career in sports and live entertainment
  • Ability to deliver exceptional service by anticipating the guests’ needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills that complement a team-oriented work ethic 
  • Ticket sales experience is a plus
  • Must be neat and presentable at all times
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with at least a high school diploma or GED

Duration and Pay:
(Based on scheduled contracts.)  This is a paid internship starting at $12/hour.  Training and travel time are unpaid.
