We’re looking for an engaging Event Coordinator to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Volunteer Program for two signature community events in the NW Arkansas region. The coordinator would work closely with tournament + event staff on the execution of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G and the Blessings Collegiate Invitational presented by Tyson Foods.

As the Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution and management of the volunteer program across both events. In addition to serving as the main contact for 700+ volunteers, you will support several areas of the LPGA tournament including contract generation, creation of sales presentations and management of the event’s player housing and junior clinic programming.   • Serve as main contact for 700+ event volunteers across two premier events
  • Manage recruitment and coordination of volunteers as well as the online volunteer database for scheduling management and communication plans 
  • Serve as a liaison between event staff and the volunteer leadership team 
  • Assist with the ordering and fulfillment processes for volunteer merchandise 
  • During event week, oversee Volunteer Headquarters, including the food and beverage experience and volunteer services, and ensure volunteers are transported (if needed) to their respective on-course posts
  • Manage the volunteer uniform distribution event and all appreciation initiatives 
  • Assist with the tournament’s player housing program, including communication with players, residents and the program’s volunteer chair
  • Manage the tournament’s onsite junior programming including onsite events and clinics 
  • Serve as a liaison between event staff and legal team, generating event contracts
  • Support the sales process through the creation of sponsorship decks and proposals
  • Carry out assigned tasks with limited supervision, including coordinating and implementing projects 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 1-2 years’ experience in events, communications or business
  • Previous volunteer experience a plus
  • Polished communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to demonstrate initiative, solve problems and work effectively under pressure while working as part of a team as well as independently 
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet
  • Collaborative in nature with “no job is too small” mentality 
  • Willingness to work weekends and nonstandard hours
  • Must be available to work full time in our Bentonville, Arkansas office
