The ECNL mission to Raise the Game is a total commitment to create the best possible environment for players, coaches, referees and administrators, with a determination to constantly question convention and challenge the status quo in youth sports.

The ECNL Events Manager is a full time position based out of the ECNL office in Richmond, VA.  The Events Manager will plan and execute events that are best in class in youth sports and that  inspire players, coaches, clubs and families.  This work will include day-to-day tasks focused on operations and logistics, inventory and product management, and additional duties as assigned. The Events Manager will report to the Chief Operations Officer.  Specific job requirements include: 

ECNL Events
  • Act as the primary on-site manager for ECNL Events
  • Liaise with local facility operators 
  • Manage internal and external communications to membership, partners, and other relevant parties
  • Manage and support on-site volunteers and staff
  • Tracking and budgeting of event related expenses and revenues
  • Source and manage travel for event support staff
  • Manage all event supply and material needs
  • Create event operations plan and venue footprint for sponsors, suppliers, and participants
  • Other duties as assigned

Product Inventory:
  • Manage inventory & distribution of necessary product for all events

Qualifications: 
  • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and independently
  • Must have highly refined abilities in time management, organization and administration
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience and a working knowledge of youth soccer a plus
  • Must be available for significant travel

Additional Information: The Event Manager must be a collaborative individual and supportive teammate to help in general league-wide tasks as requested by the ECNL COO or others, and assist teammates in all areas as necessary for accomplishment of their tasks to make the ECNL the standard of excellence in youth sport.

  • The ECNL will provide a phone and monthly service and data plan.
  • The ECNL will provide a laptop computer which will be utilized for all work duties.
  • 401(k) after one year of employment with a percentage contribution from the league.
