About the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center 
Our campus sits on 155 acres in Chula Vista, with world class athletic facilities, housing and dining. We are an official United States Olympic and Paralympic Site, utilized by Olympians and Paralympians who live, train and eat on campus 365 days a year.
 
We also offer opportunities for select teams and leagues to stay, eat and train on our site; we have hosted a range of groups, from high school to professionals, as well as many universities, such as San Diego State, Oklahoma & Stanford, just to name a few.
 
The Olympic athletes who live and train on campus have found that our complex provides an environment without distractions, ideal for focus and preparation; the universities and teams that have trained here over the years have benefited immensely as well.
 
We are looking for:
A Chief Revenue Officer who is a creative, and an innovative leader. In this role, you are responsible for development and achievement of the organization revenue goals, as well as, leading all revenue generation processes and functions across the organization with a focus on marketing and sales planning, customer development and partnerships, branding, and media relations.
 
The successful candidate needs: 
  • Direct sales and management experience.
  • Sports and/or facility sales experience
  • Direct experience managing a CRM or other sales reporting system
  • Ability to craft and execute a marketing and sales strategies 
  • Be willing to get up to speed very quickly.
 
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For:
  • Leading and managing the marketing and sales team to drive business growth across all customer segments and types in order to achieve sales objectives.
  • Providing accurate and timely reporting via CRM to management on a regular and ad hoc basis.
  • Developing and implementing, marketing and sales strategies, that are aligned with organization’s goals/objectives to ensure achievement of quarterly revenue goals.
  • Developing initiatives that will accelerate customers through the sales and contracting process.
  • Building and developing a results-oriented team focused on achievement of quarterly revenue goals.
  • Ensuring a continuous pipeline of both current and new customers to assure sustainable growth.
  • Maintaining and communicating updated sales pipeline and revenue projections to the management team.
  • Leading weekly meeting with the sales department and President/COO.
  • Providing accurate data on monthly sales and updated forecast projections for Executive Team and Board of Directors.
  • Conducting frequent communication and coordination with Operations Department to maintain impeccable customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and resolving issues across the marketing/sales and account management functions.
  • Leading contract negotiations with all major clients and customers.

This Role Is a Fit If You Have:
  • A BS/BA Degree in Business, marketing, sports marketing, Hospitality, desired.
  • 5+ years’ experience leading a marketing and sales organization with revenue exceeding $10M.
  • Direct sales and management experience.
  • Sports and/or facility sales experience.
  • A proven experience developing and executing marketing and sales strategies.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team around growth and sales targets.
  • A proven track record of growing revenue through customer development, marketing, branding, and partnerships.
  • Direct experience managing a CRM or other sales reporting system.
  • The ability to craft and execute a marketing and sales strategies.
  • Data driven decision orientation.
  • An inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.
  • An excellent interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, NGBs and media contacts.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to get up to speed very quickly.

Of Great Value Will be If You Have:
  • An MBA—or equivalent advanced degree;
  • Experience in Collegiate, Olympic and NGB space a plus;
  • Hospitality and/or sports facilities management may be of benefit (such as part of hotel/resort or university athletic department.
