Position Purpose:
Digital and social media content are indispensable and central components when authentically connecting to our fan base, both locally, nationally & internationally. We are seeking a Social Media Specialist with an emphasis on creativity and a selflessness to build on the ideas of teammates. This person should be social media and pop culture obsessed with strong writing and graphic design skills. You will be the main driver behind our brand’s voice on social media. 
The successful candidate will have their finger on the pulse of all that is culturally relevant in the automotive industry and to our social audiences, and they will be dedicated to increasing the connection to our current fans and attracting new fans through engaging content. Above all, we seek an enthusiastic teammate that will be a great culture fit on our social media team.
This high-profile, fast paced and challenging opportunity requires versatility and ability to assist in the creation of content, both through strategic planning and real-time content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
  •  Manages Barrett-Jackson’s day-to-day social media presence across all social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Develop and execute a digital marketing plan for each auction, working with the marketing team to create campaigns for Consignment, Gate, & Bidders
  • Measure the success of social and digital posts and campaigns by utilizing analytics to map strategies and performance
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences.
  • Research current trending digital technologies and social media trends
  • Develop and create content ideas to support partnership pitches and renewals with creative development. 
  • Collaborate with various departments to create, copy-edit and post content for Barrett-Jackson’s official pages on social Media with a unique voice for each platform. 
  • Works with Social & Digital Media Director to develop and implement social content calendar 
  • Monitors and analyzes social analytics to guide strategy and best practices, and implement strategy to grow performance based on KPIs
  • Monitor influencer channels for sharable content, and identifies opportunities for user-generated content
  • Uses social media to increase brand recognition for the organization, improve value perception
  • Stays current with social media landscape, marketing and communication methods and other trends, and adapts approaches as needed to stay attractive and relevant with participants, fans, sponsors and donors — including a focus on reaching the next generation of the sport
  • Meet and execute contractual branded content requirements for partners
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 4+ years experience posting content to social media platforms for a brand, including usage of tools such as Sprout Social, Later or relatable products
  • Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles and collector vehicles REQUIRED
  • Proficiency running brand and sponsor campaigns with successful results
  • Strong Background and proven knowledge in creating content for new and emerging social media platforms. 
  • Willing to work extended and irregular hours
  • Ability to adapt content for multiple platforms (Posts, Stories, Reels, TikTok)
  • Work with a team to achieve goals on a constantly moving deadline and turning around content in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to manage/backup your media on a Media Server as you work

Experience and/or Education:
  • Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles, and collector vehicles a plus
  • Minimum one year
  • Social Media Management
