Technical Services: Producer
Position Purpose:
Barrett-Jackson Media is seeking a qualified and talented producer / director of photography to set the standard for producing high quality and entertaining series programming.  This person will have had multiple years of experience in creating long, and short form, programming series where they have demonstrated to successfully carry-out storylines throughout the series as well as within each episode.  This person will have an overall understanding of the audience and will present and carryout ideas that will be engaging to audiences.  This person will be highly knowledgeable in lighting, shooting and video editing for multi-platform use. Candidate must be able to manage a production team in creating content as well as oversee and maintain material in company’s Digital Asset Management System.  
Key Responsibilities:
  •  The driving force behind shoots. Directs, produces, researches, this role does it all and displays a “all hands on deck” approach to their work ethic.
  • Develop, pitch, and execute new digital show concepts
  • Highly detailed leader that has strong production planning capabilities
  • Creative directing video shoots, including art direction, onset creative, and/or location selection. Excellent knowledge of video, audio and graphics needed throughout the pre & post production process. Experience directing different types of content, ranging from but not limited to: in studio interviews to longer format docuseries.
  • Have an expert understanding or knowledge of building a channel and programming series on YouTube & Social Media.
  • Collaborate with the creative/strategy teams to bring key concepts to life, but not limited to: renew existing series, revamp format and platform, etc.
  • Knowledge & Ability to compose a shot and light cars and talent
  • Reviewing, editing, and approving preliminary and final treatments, outlines, shooting scripts, scripts, casting, production schedules, budgets, and final versions of all assigned programs, with supervision from the Senior Producer.
  • Ability to work in “unsupervised” environment to executive producer’s specifications, ability to interact with all levels of personnel and “celebrity” personalities.
  • Ability to adapt content for multiple platforms (YouTube, Social Media, Vertical Social)
  • Lead a team to achieve goals on a constantly moving deadline and turning around content in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles and collector vehicles required 
  • Willing to work extended and irregular hours
  • Creative thinker that can understand the overall strategy of content (i.e. development, distribution, engagement and monetization) as well as contribute to overall growth of the department.

Experience and/or Education:
  • Strong history of creating and/or executing high concept series programming and digital content, has a voracious interest in digital video and a deep understanding of how to direct on-camera talent
  • Successful leader that posses a strong understanding of production and post-production workflow
  • Knowledge of automotive industry, automobiles, and collector vehicles
  • Minimum 4 years experience producing
  • Experience with Sony FS7 & A7sii cameras
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere & After Effects
  • Must exhibit strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience managing a slate of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be a master communicator and always a solution-oriented adult in the room.
  • Ability to hit hard deadlines.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art video acquisition up to and including 4k
  • Prior experience using digital asset management systems
