Barrett-Jackson is looking for an event marketing and grassroots coordinator with exceptional people skills to be an integral part of our marketing team.  This position will focus on the development and execution of all grassroots marketing initiatives that engage new and existing audiences. This position is office-based in Scottsdale, AZ.
  • Plan, organize and execute the Barrett-Jackson marketing booth at automotive and community events in Arizona and throughout the entire United States 
  • Strategize and manage event calendars
  • Collaborate with multiple internal teams to meet the needs and deadlines 
  • Collaborate with the marketing, social and PR teams on event plans 
  • Coordinate team staffing and travel arrangements 
  • Oversee, plan, and manage all car club and track outreach  
  • Develop and manage the grassroots marketing budget 
  • Identify new opportunities and evaluate current sponsorships
  • Negotiate sponsorship contracts 
  • Organize all things related to the Barrett-Jackson grassroots efforts, including contracts/agreements, collateral, research, correspondence with events, etc.
  • Order and maintain all event collateral and marketing materials 
  • Hire and train event-day staff 
  • Maintain the grassroots marketing vehicle and assets (cleaning, organizing)
  • Schedule and lead meetings to seek approval and review event logistics and implementation
  • Support duties as needed for marketing team
  • Friendly and customer service oriented
  • Effective listener with great communication skills
  • Team player who works in collaboration with other departments
  • Proficient PC skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field 
  • 3-5 years of experience managing events, project management and/or trade shows
  • Experience developing timelines and managing project calendars 
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while juggling multiple tasks.
