The primary function of this position is guest relations and customer service. This person is to continually educate group attendees on all the services and opportunities offered at the racetrack; to increase sales. If a problem arises, they are there to either resolve it or immediately bring it to the attention of the Event Management. The Group Sales Specialist is also responsible to always ensure the guests comfort and safety.

  • Sell group packages to clients 
  • Maintain high volume of sales
  • Market identification and development
  • Implement sales plan and marketing collateral
  • Database management
  • Work with clients when on-site to ensure a positive experience
  • Greet and seat all group attendees upon arrival.
  • Distribute daily racing programs group guests.
  • Answer questions and respond to complaints in a timely manner.

  • College degree preferred
  • Five (5) years of professional sales experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, computer)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Possess exceptional, polished customer service skills 
  • Be a team player with a “can do attitude”
  • Have thorough understanding of sales principles and procedures

ENVIRONMENT: Standard Indoor/ Outdoor Event Venue 
FINGER DEXTERITY: Requires typing on standard computer.
TALKING: Ability to speak on phone and face to face.
HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Frequent and regular movements using the wrists, hands, and fingers.
AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to view computer screens and documents.
 PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Medium to heavy work; requiring stooping and exerting up to 10 lbs. of force lifting, carrying, and or packing food resources.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.  Ability to interpret instructions.
MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.
 LANGUAGE ABILITY: Fluency in English. Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.
