Job Description
The Media Relations Intern will be responsible for assisting in the creation of ad content, handling media communications, and assisting in other day-to-day activities as needed.

  • Creating a calendar of media due dates and uploading those dates onto a central calendar
  • Work with media relations team 1-2 weeks prior to each game and assist in developing ad content for: 
    • Television 
    • Billboards 
    • Two print papers 
    • 4 radio stations 
    • Write up Ticket Agreements to be used by radio stations for on-air giveaways 
    • Help set up Facebook Live events with local radio personalities 
    • Set up a schedule for players and coaches to do on-air interviews at local stations 
    • Assist with organizing and implementing promotional events with media partners at games 

  • Shows up on time with proper attire each day
  • Treats coworkers and other members of the Lumberjacks organization with respect
  • Shows focus and motivation towards assigned tasks
  • Willing to learn and grow for the betterment of the organization, as well as for themselves
  • Happy to assist our loyal and passionate fanbase to continuously improve game atmosphere
  • Able to work all home games
  • Be an extension of the Lumberjacks organization

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Proven skills handling multiple responsibilities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism when responding to staff, players, and fans
  • Show a team-oriented mentality
