 The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are seeking a talented, outgoing, and energetic personality to fill the role as an In-Game Emcee for all home games during the 2021-2022 season.  Home games run from October-May.

This is a game day only, part-time, paid position.

Responsibilities: 
  • Report to Game Entertainment Manager and represent team brand in an appropriate manner.
  • Execute in-game on ice and in-stand promotions, activities, and contests.
  • Be the voice during intermissions, promotions, activities, and games.
  • Ensure contestants understand the details and rules of the activities and are explained clearly for proper execution.
  • Assist interns, mascot with set-up/breakdown of any props for in-game activities, intermission activities, etc. 
  • Assist interns in finding contestants for media timeout and intermission games.
  • Conduct interviews with players with engaging questions whether scripted or on the fly.
  • Be a pivotal part of the crowd entertainment by encouraging fans, to make noise, start crowd chants, etc. 

Skills and Abilities:
  • Personable and social skills
  • Outgoing, energetic personality
  • Ability to think and adjust on fly
  • Strong improvisation skills and ability to memorize scripted text
  • Be able to work in a timely fashion in a high-pressured, fast-paced environment 
  • Comfortable speaking, and acting in front of large crowds on a microphone

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Basic hockey knowledge required
  • Experience in promotions, public speaking, entertainment preferred, but not required. 
  • Be available for all home games
  • Arrive at arena a few hours before puck drop to meet with Game Operations Manager and Game Night Staff.

Candidates selected for interviews will be asked to supply video examples showcasing their personalities and ability to perform before a live crowd.
