Facility Operations/Event Staff: Conversion Crew
JOB SUMMARY: The Conversion Crew Lead is responsible for leading contracted labor in change overs of the building for various events including installation and removal of the basketball floor, ice decking, retractable seating, stages, moving furniture and other duties. This is a part time position with up to 30 hours a week available.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Supervises contracted conversion staff
Assists with the conversion process including the set up and break down of each event which includes installing and removing basketball floor, ice decking, retractable seating, and moving furniture
  • Coordinates with the Conversion Manager in order to assist with training of how to correctly and safely operate necessary machinery and equipment
  • Reviews, documents, and maintains records of conversion activities in order to notify the Conversion Manager or any personnel issues
  • Recommend repairs, maintenance, and special projects
  • Maintain and manage inventory and proper storage of conversion equipment, tools, and supplies

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include mostly nights and weekends, which may also include holidays
  • Strong leadership qualities and work ethic
  • Experience with hand tools and motorized equipment 
 
Physical Demands and Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an arena environment, with noise levels that can reach quite loud.
