The Syracuse Crunch, AHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning, is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Ticket Sales.
 
This position is responsible for generating revenue through season ticket, partial/flex packages and group ticket sales while overseeing and actively assisting the ticket sales team (full-time, part-time and interns).  This full-time position will involve close interaction with the Crunch’s current fan base, acting as a customer service representative in addition to assisting with game day ticket operations.
 
This position is responsible for the sale of:
  • FSE’s
  • Group tickets
  • Specialty ticket packages
  
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Generate ticket revenue using all sales methods, including cold calls, prospecting, research, referrals, personal appointments and person-to-person contact at Crunch games
  • Sell season tickets, partial/flex packages, group tickets and specialty ticket plans year-round
  • Oversight of all ticket sales and service campaigns
  • Manage daily operations of the full-time, part-time and interns within the sales department to meet and exceed sales and performance expectations
  • Coordinate sales team meetings, trainings and one-on-one’s with members of the sales department
  • Work with necessary staff to develop and communicate ticket sales and renewal strategies, procedures and processes with the customer in mind
  • Identify, explore and research new sales opportunities to include FSE’s and group sales target markets
  • Lead in development of ticket marketing, promotions, pricing, sales and renewal strategies and communicate with necessary departments
  • Track and report daily, weekly and monthly accountability and performance reports of the sales staff
  • Provide necessary reporting analytics to the American Hockey League
  • Develop and execute multiple theme and group nights
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Chief Operating Officer
 
The qualified candidate for this position should have the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proven sales professional with business/sales and managerial experience 
  • Prior experience in ticket sales, appointment scheduling or cold-calling techniques is required
  • Knowledge of Ticketmaster along with Archtics software is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills
  • Ability to function in fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Available to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings and weekends 
  • Position is required to work all home games
  • High energy, ability to remain focused on sales goals and work independently
