Learn to Skate (LTS) Supervisor

The Company:
Black Knight Sports & Entertainment LLC owns the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, and is launching an American Hockey League (AHL) team in Henderson, Nevada that will serve as the primary minor league affiliate to the Golden Knights.

Essential Functions:
The Learn to Skate Supervisor will work in collaboration with the Skating Manager to oversee and coordinate the Learn to Skate program, and coaching staff at Lifeguard Arena or City National Arena.

Primary Responsibilities:
  •  Supervise and manage the curriculum for the VGK Skating Academy (Learn to Skate)
  • Account for on ice attendance of skaters and coaches
  • Conduct skater evaluations
  • Ensure a safe and fun environment during learn to skate classes
  • Be able to answer parent questions and solve issues
  • Uphold the VGK Skating Academy standards on and off the ice
  • Ballet bars
Key Competencies and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess patience and ability to teach basic skating skills
  • Ability to inspire a team collaborative environment
  • Ability to take direction well and must be able to take in and apply feedback from numerous sources to maintain a top of class program 
  • Ability to demonstrate a flexible can do attitude
  • Self-starter, pro-active, highly motivated
  • Detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced, intense environment
Work related travel as assigned

Schedule Overview:
This is not a 9-to-5, 40 hour a week job. Candidates must be prepared to work nights, weekends and holidays
