Areas of Focus:  Social Media and Digital Marketing
 
Length of Internship:  October 2019 – April 2020, with the option to extend through the 2020 playoff run 
(Terms and conditions of internship may be adjusted at any time)
                                                     
Supervision: Director of Digital Marketing 
 
Duties and Responsibilities:  
The responsibilities below will be split between both social media game night interns. 
 
  • Approve social media posts from fans that are displayed on the arena video board and TV in the lounge
  • Interact and start dialogue with fans about Griffins social media, including informing them about special social media and ticket promotions and theme nights
  • Assist with in-game fan interaction, including handing out prizes and managing Twitter contests
  • Responsible for managing Snapchat and Snapchat coverage of the game
  • Assist the digital marketing staff with game coverage duties including, but not limited to Griffins app push notifications, Twitter updates and AHLTV management
  • Responsible for covering community events and team events on Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat
  • Must use your own technology (smart phone)
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Current college student working toward a degree in Marketing or Communications, or related field
  • Interest in learning more about social media marketing 
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work game nights and community events (including weekends and holiday games)
  • Experience with various social media platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely outgoing personality; comfortable starting conversations with fans
  • Creative and detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Strong customer service orientation, as well as presenting a professional presence
