Description:
The Chicago Wolves seek a Social Media Coordinator to join the Marketing Department. The right candidate will be creative, a proven communicator, planner, master of tone, current on social media trends, quick-witted and responsible.  
 
Responsibilities:
  • Work with department members and team executives throughout the front office to ensure consistency of voice, values, and messaging across all platforms
  • Produce and maintain a daily social media calendar that lays out the team’s plan for each platform; work at least one month in advance on short-term executional plans, and six months ahead on long-term strategic plans, to maximize strategic benefits
  • Track social media analytics to determine what’s most successful while staying on top of industry trends and best practices for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Twitch and other social media outlets
  • Execute tactical strategies that expand the team’s social media footprint
  • Develop creative promotions that foster strong consumer engagement
  • Work with the revenue-generating departments on effective e-commerce strategies
  • Collaborate with all departments effectively to execute promotions and other initiatives that those departments “own”
  • Be creative, be creative, be creative
  • Attend team practices and events to collect content from players, coaches, and behind the scenes
  • Attend all home games and produce content for multiple platforms in an efficient manner before, throughout, and following the game
  • Cover all road games from Chicago (some travel possible) on social platforms along with postgame content updates
  • Other duties as assigned 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of work in a social or digital environment
  • Strong storytelling background; knowledge of AP Style a definite plus
  • Ability to multitask, work on deadline, and maintain professional manner under pressure
  • Professional experience running social media accounts, developing social media content and creating social media promotions
  • Professional sports/hockey background a plus, but not required
  • Experience in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
  • Must have access to reliable transportation as the job requires frequent travel between the front office in Glenview, Allstate Arena in Rosemont, and the team’s practice facility in Hoffman Estates
  • Flexible schedule required; must work nights, weekends, and holidays
