Job Summary:

As part of the Business Strategy & Analytics department, the Digital and Consumer Strategist will research and identify ways to build the brand, engage consumers and monetize digital and social content. This person will be responsible for studying market conditions, VSG content and assets, and marketing campaigns to provide actionable insights to both the Marketing and Partnership departments. This position will engage and consult across the business and provide essential support in the creation of content and partnership strategies. A successful person in this role will be able to help VSG understand, amplify, optimize, and capitalize on how consumers are engaging with content. Ultimately, this position will help VSG continuously monitor brand engagement and consumer perception as they help monetize digital and social content.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Study, measure, and improve the profitability of VSG digital and social content

  • Create and monitor content valuation

  • Track and analyze digital and social media KPIs

  • Research and monitor industry and media trends

  • Recommend marketing and content optimizations

- Utilize research to communicate data insights that aide in developing content strategies for Marketing and Partnership stakeholders

- Design research/analysis initiatives to better understand how to drive customer engagement and traffic

- Work closely with the Partnership department to identify asset values and opportunities for client acquisition and retention

  • Assist in the development of partnership marketing strategies and partnership recaps

  • Assist in the development of asset creation, valuation, and measurement

  • Integrate and summarize ad-hoc data to deliver insights that answer business questions

  • Support sales and retention efforts through knowledge share

Experience/Education:

  • 3+ years of work experience in marketing analytics, digital analytics & strategy, or similar

  • Bachelors or advance degree in business, advertising, marketing, or related field

Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong experience and knowledge of digital and social analytics

  • Knowledge and experience helping to value and monetize digital and social content

  • Comfort, appreciation and skill with data mining, data analysis, data visualization

  • High degree of experience with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions

  • Excellent at summarizing and presenting complex findings to stakeholders

  • Experience with project management to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives

  • Ability to track details and meet deadlines of multiple projects

  • Critical thinker, problem solver and continuous learner

  • Ability to successfully collaborate and influence others in a flexible and dynamic environment

  • Ability to perform with minimal direction, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative
