Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Will serve as lone intern for radio/broadcast department for 2018-19 season.
  • Will help set up and break down intermission player interviews and/or any pregame or post-game shows during Lightning Radio game broadcasts at Amalie Arena.
  • Will be the primary daily content creator/monitor for Lightning Radio Network social media feeds during 2018-19 season. 
  • When directed, will conduct player interviews and/or team-related stories recorded for Lightning Radio Network social media, podcasts, and the team’s website.
  • When directed, will assist in collection, editing, and posting of content for all auxiliary programming with team’s radio rights holders.
  • Will also post highlight reels and repurposed programming to 24/7 channel Lightning Power Play and archive page.
  • May also create new audio features for Lightning Power Play.
  • When directed, will monitor radio broadcasts and video streams.
  • When available, can assist any other departments.

Qualifications
  • A strong knowledge of the NHL and the Tampa Bay Lightning is preferred.
  • Must be available for work on all game nights, including weekends, holidays, and late night broadcasts.
  • Must have some experience in broadcast journalism, broadcast production, and/or print journalism.
  • Must be proficient in editing programs such as Adobe Audition to carry out regular tasks.
  • Must have own laptop computer, and mp3 recording device (reliable smart phone also acceptable).
  • An understanding of engaging, great social media content is preferred.
  • A self-starter, a go-getter, and someone who wants to be part of a great TEAM working together for outstanding audio content is perfect for this position.
