The People Operations Coordinator is a true connection point for all VSG employee services and promotes new ways of approaching HR core work, specifically recruiting for efficiency and scalability impacting our Facilities and Arena division. As a People Operations Coordinator, you will work with a team of HR professionals dedicated to elevating the employee experience from the beginning of the life cycle to onboarding and ultimately supporting the execution of legendary events. A successful People Operations Coordinator will collaborate with department managers on a regular basis to identify hiring needs, in addition to sourcing candidates in high volumes using various tools and recruiting technology, including job boards, social media networks, and employee referrals.

GAME/EVENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Game/Event Night responsibilities:  Rotating
  • Approximate number of events worked per year:   10-15

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Work with management to identify the staffing needs of the company
  • Understand functional hiring needs and translate those needs into effective sourcing strategies
  • Successfully source and screen high-volume candidates and present them to appropriate hiring teams
  • Create and maintain a strong pipeline of passive talent
  • Research and attend industry recruiting and networking events
  • Manage recruiting process in compliance with regulatory practices and internal processes
  • Provide outstanding service to candidates and team members who are seeking information or clarity regarding employment and onboarding, or redirecting them as appropriate
  • Identifying opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency processes 
  • Assist in onboarding of new candidates, including facilitation of New Employee Orientation and Service Training
  • Support HR transactions such as hires, terms, leaves, employee data changes, document management through Workday
  • Ensure federal, state, local, and company regulations are followed when handling hard and digital associate files
  • Maintain process documentation and supporting the streamlining of operational processes for Workers Compensation and leaves of absence
  • Manage Covid-19 compliance and contact tracing
  • Complete essential administration tasks; answering emails, phone calls, and filing
  • Continually improve the employee self-service experience as well as knowledge of operations through the identification of trends and root cause analysis
  • Research and provide recommendations on new technologies and services that enhance the employee experience
  • Take on additional projects as necessary to support the People Operations team with engagement and retention
     

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum 2 years in high-volume recruiting or HR role
  • Comfortable independently managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume hiring environment with tight deadlines
  • Team player, excellent at building relationships within your team and across VSG teams
  • Experience with using applicant tracking systems and similar HRIS tools, Workday a plus
  • Strong understanding of interview workflow
  • Excessive attention to detail with a sense of urgency and a can-do attitude
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of HR and employment laws is a plus
