Position Summary:
The Pensacola Ice Flyers are seeking a Front Office Intern during the Spring semester in exchange for course credit hours. As part of the Ice Flyers Front Office team, the candidate will assist in all areas of operations for the team, including but not limited to, ticket sales, game day operations, merchandise, and community outreach. This position will report to the Director of Sales for project guidance and career development. Local applicants will only be considered.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Lead and organize a team of game operations volunteers to assure in game functions are run correctly;
  • Represent the Pensacola Ice Flyers at community appearances;
  • Brainstorm and bring ideas to the staff about upcoming games, themes, and in game production;
  • Answer incoming phone calls and assist fans with their needs;
  • Learn the ins and outs of professional sports ticketing process;
  • Assist in merchandise sales, stocking, and shipping;
  • Other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
 
Minimum Qualifications and Essential Functions:
  • College student, or individual, pursuing a career in graphic design, advertising, or related field;
  • Ability to answer phones and speak with fans on a day to day basis;
  • Proficiency in all areas of Microsoft Office; 
  • Capable of working independently ;
  • Understanding of hockey and Ice Flyers team history is a plus.
