Climate Pledge Arena, a $1.15 Billion redevelopment of the facility formerly known as KeyArena and built originally for the 1962 Seattle World’s Fair, has been transformed into a world class, state-of-the-art City jewel and destination. Located at Seattle Center in the heart of Seattle’s Uptown Neighborhood, the new venue offers a truly unique and intimate experience for the newest NHL franchise, the Seattle Kraken, WNBA’s Seattle Storm, concerts and other entertainment events, while preserving the historic nature of Seattle Center and its surroundings. This project is a completely new arena beneath its existing historic-landmark roof. Climate Pledge Arena opened October 22, 2021.

 

Position Summary:

The Manager, Video & Graphic Production will drive the creation of video content for the Climate Pledge Arena Marketing Department, with an emphasis on shooting and editing cross platform media (In-Arena, Web/social, Broadcast, etc.). This person will help establish and create the video production workflow and standards within the Climate Pledge Arena Marketing department.

 

Responsibilities include creating a wide variety of videos for: web, social, broadcast, training, sales, as well as food and beverage. This talented creator must be well rounded in video production. The ideal teammate will have experience shooting live events as well as scripted elements, proficiency in editing short and long form pieces, ability to record live audio and sound edit, and familiarity with animation and motion graphics.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participate in brainstorming sessions and content creation strategy meetings.
• Support the development and implementation of video production standards, practices, and procedures across a multi-platform environment.
• Recommend and implement process improvement (e.g. streamline, add automations, eliminate redundancies, reduce cost, number hand-offs between roles, etc.) and incorporate into SOP revisions.
• Own and execute multiple projects from start to finish.
• Ensure quality and timely creative production and communication with teammates.
• Provide creative storyboards, drafts and revisions for review on projects/assignments.
• Effectively communicate, support and enhance the mission and vision across a wide range of medias.

 

• Responsible:
  • Shooting and editing features
  • Producing and directing video shoots
  • Conceptualize, create, and execute varying elements that uphold and strengthen the Climate Pledge Arena brand and affiliated campaigns
  • Editing content for in-arena LED, social, web, and broadcast
  • Fulfilling both internal and external video requests
  • Building video content with A/V department for arena video boards

 

 

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of video production experience in a world class, multi-channel postproduction environment.
• Knowledge of requirements and experience working across a variety of video formats and applications
• A strong sense of storyboarding and video concepting
• Ability to turn concepts and ideas into finished video assets
• An experienced multi-tasker that is not intimidated by the thought of juggling multiple projects and tasks at once in a fast-paced work environment while still maintaining a high level of creativity
• Must be a self-starter able to coordinate resources and responsibilities
• Proficient in the complete Adobe CC Suite, including After Effects
• Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Comfortable with cloud-based delivery solutions

 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

• Digital asset management
• Digital Signage and LED experience
• Experience in music and entertainment field. Ability to utilize existing artist b-roll and design digital assets from them.

 

Working Conditions:

• Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays as required.
• Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, and extensive walking through the building including stairs and inclines.
