As the Senior Director of Ticketing, you will lead our ticketing strategy and oversee all aspects of ticket sales and distribution for the PWHL’s six franchises. You will be responsible for developing and executing ticketing strategies to maximize revenue, integrating with our multiple venues and their ticket platforms, and ensure a seamless ticketing experience for our fans. This role will require a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, knowledge of our sport and a passion for sports and fan engagement.
Key Responsibilities:

Ticket Sales Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive ticket sales strategies, including season ticket packages, group sales, single-game ticket sales, and premium seating options where available.

Pricing Strategy: Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and historical data to set and adjust ticket prices to optimize revenue while maintaining affordability for fans.

Fan Engagement: Work closely with marketing and fan engagement staffs to create promotions, events, and fan experiences that drive ticket sales and enhance the overall fan experience.

Sales Team Management: Lead and mentor the ticket sales team in each PWHL market, setting performance goals, conducting regular training, and monitoring their progress toward sales targets.

Technology and Systems: Oversee ticketing technology and systems (both at the PWHL and each of our team venues), ensuring they are up to date and efficiently support ticket sales, distribution, and fan interactions.

Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to make informed decisions, track key performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement in ticket sales strategies.

Customer Service: Ensure exceptional customer service for fans by resolving ticketing issues promptly, providing clear communication, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Budget Management: Develop and manage the ticketing department budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve revenue goals.

Reporting: Generate regular reports and presentations for senior management, summarizing ticketing performance, trends, and strategies.

Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and ensure ticketing practices are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in ticketing, sales, or a related field, preferably in the sports and entertainment industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a ticketing department and achieving revenue targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in ticketing software and CRM systems.
- Passion for sports and a deep understanding of fan engagement.
