Job Title: Intern, Partnership Activation
Position: Paid Internship (Winter/Spring)
Location: Remote/Floral Park, NY including travel for events at UBS Arena
Experience Desired: Recent Graduate/ Current Student

The New York Islanders Hockey Club is one of the most iconic franchises in professional sports with a deeply passionate and loyal fanbase. We’ve won four consecutive Stanley Cups in the early 1980s and are well on our way to add to that legacy. The next few years will be action-packed as we complete our world-class, state-of-the-art arena, reposition our brand in the Long Island and Metro New York markets, and prepare to reclaim the Stanley Cup.

Our Interns bring exceptional communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role will focus on creative thinking, organization and requires that the person to be able to work collaboratively and independently to assist the entire partnership activation department. This position also requires a high degree of personal integrity, timeliness, workload prioritization and exceptional problem-solving skills. 



Show Us You Can
  •  Liaise with vendors as well as building and ticket operations in the execution of various partnership needs/activations
  • Manage CRM data input
  • Perform partnership activation research and develop new concepts
  • Create and develop partner outreach materials 
  • Manage Partnership Inventory 
  • Create proof of performance documentation
  • Think creatively and contribute to overall department goals
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and collaborate

  • Prior internship experience in a sports business setting preferred 
  • Excellent writing and research skills
 
Where You’ll Go
Given the impacts of COVID-19, you will primarily be working remotely. From time to time, you may be required to report to our Floral Park, NY office and attend home games and other team/ UBS Arena  events (events can fall on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays).
