Our Game Plan:
The Bridgeport Sound Tigers are looking for a dynamic leader as Vice President of Partnership Sales. Reporting to the President of Business Operations, the VP of Partnership Sales will drive long-term corporate partnership revenues for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers and Webster Bank Arena. Leading the overall strategic approach to drive national, regional and local corporate partnerships and managing and developing your own sales team, you will play a major role in the year-to-year success and achievement of the organization.

The VP of Partnership Sales should exhibit a passion for corporate sales, leadership, and be motivated to take the next step in their career along with continuing to help our organization grow into the best sales organization in professional sports. 
Show Us You Can:
  • Establish new marketing partnerships to achieve annual revenue goals
  • Secure appointments to sell to new prospects among local and national companies 
  • Analyze specific marketing needs by conducting a needs analysis with prospects based on partner objectives 
  • Deliver presentations in-person to decision makers and larger groups to drive revenue for the company
  • Develop meaningful business relationships with existing and potential sponsors 
  • Communicate well across all areas of the company including legal, accounting, marketing, community relations and ticketing 
  • Management of the overall sales efforts for the partnership sales staff, including directing sales activities, training and mentoring staff
  • Significantly grow the team’s corporate sales and premium seating business
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports to management
  • Consistently deliver high-level of customer service to both internal and external clients helping provide world-class service

Your Training & Talent:
  • Bachelor’s degree in sports administration, business or marketing 
  • 10+ years’ experience working with a sports team in partnership sales
  • Strategic prowess focused on growing the business vision while managing day-to-day operations
  • Creativity, strong analytical skills and organizational skills 
  • Customer-focused, relationship building mindset 
  • Superior interpersonal skills across all mediums of communication 
  • Results and bottom-line driven attitude balanced with sensitivity towards people and values 
  • Discretion when privy to sensitive and confidential information 
  • Strong player-coach mentality focused on developing staff
  • High ethical standards and commitment to the organization’s core values
  • Exhibits a team-oriented approach

Where You’ll Go:
You will primarily report to our Bridgeport, CT office, along with:
