This position will serve as a Financial Analyst in NHL Club Business & Analytics, participating in NHL Club financial reporting and other Club data collection projects.
This position will: 
  • Collect and verify Club reporting of Hockey Related Revenues (“HRR,” focused on Club revenues) and Unified Report of Operations (“URO,” focused on Club expenses).
  • Participate in Player Payroll Escrow accounting and reporting and liaise with Escrow Agent.
  • Work with NHL Clubs, the NHL Players’ Association and independent accountants on reporting matters and Agreed Upon Procedures.
  • Contribute on reporting and analysis relating to NHL Club revenues and expenses.
  • Collect data & produce reporting for NHL Club business areas such as Food & Beverage, Arenas, and Practice Facilities.
  • Contribute to NHL Club Business Plan Review process with other members of NHL Club Business & Analytics Department and other internal departments.
  • Collaborate with other members of NHL Club Business & Analytics Department to discover insights across Club business areas such as ticketing, premium seating, and business intelligence.
 The ideal candidate should have a degree from a four-year college or university (graduate degree preferred) in finance, economics and/or accounting and at least 2+ years of work experience in financial accounting, audit or corporate finance.  Must have strong competencies in accounting, corporate finance, planning, project management, and leadership.  They must have strong analytical skills, including use of Microsoft Excel.  Successful candidate will be disciplined, organized and detail oriented with strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.  Must have the ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
