OVERVIEW
The role of DevOps Engineer is to build and maintain the UNIX-based infrastructure running internal and external applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Administer and support both on-prem and cloud-based environments
- Execute code-based CI/CD deployment pl ans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best-practices provided
- Ensure ease of automation and scalability in all Git-based deploymen
- Manage mySQL database instances and create/provision new instances when needed
- Ensure replication, load-balancing, obfuscation and back-up/restore operations are performing as expected
- Troubleshoot and optimize queries that degrade performance of instances
- Work with external vendors and league partners to ensure all deliverables are being met
- Develop monitoring solutions that give greater visibility into performance and reliability of cloud and on-prem environments
- Communicate regularly with NetworkOps and SecurityOps groups and integrate their requirements in all environment build plans
- Contribute to overall DevOps team objectives and enthusiastically assist other members when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong background in virtual and cloud infrastructure platforms, such as VMWare and AWS
- Understanding of infrastructure deployment and automation tools such as Terraform and Cloudformation
- Understanding of deployment and scaling tools such as Bamboo, Jfrog/Gitlab and Jenkins; Kubernetes background a plus
- Experience with configuration and content tools such as Ansible and Puppet
- Background in infrastructure and application logging/monitoring with tools such as Devo, Datadog, CheckMK and Grafana
- Familiarity with AWS products such as SSM, Control Tower and GuardDuty
- Previous experience creating monitoring checks for internal and external/public resources
- Ability to contribute and thrive in a team environment
- 5+ years of experience
- 3+ years of DevOps experience
- Python
SalaryRange for this role is : $150K to $185K
