OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Sr Director, the successful candidate will develop and lead segments of soft goods licensing including but not limited to children’s and women’s programming.   Primary responsibilities include key account management of defined categories to ensure long term success, setting and achieving revenue targets, and identification of industry trends/opportunities, retail segmentation strategies, and new product innovation.  The role shall administer strategic product licensing rights delivered to manufactures supporting the product development, quality assurance, retail deployment and marketing with partner licensees.  As engagement liaison to the licensees the role supports service for special events, retail advertising and PR campaigns, product placement and corporate premium programming.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Account management of existing and new licensees which fosters the development, manufacture and sales of trending softgoods product.    
  •  Identify and cultivate new product and manufacture opportunities within the segment.
  • Negotiate and execute manufacture license agreements.
  • Fulfilment of licensee obligations including the delivery of revenue goals. 
  • Provide apparel/soft goods textile and product expertise in the creation of key collections, capsules and items.
  • Assure superior NHL brand integration in product execution and deployment.
  • Identify key products for priority programming and specific retail needs/solutions.
  • Manage licensee co-operative marketing funding obligations, direct promotional activity, and measure sales return on investment.   
  • Initiate and support licensee national and local product promotions and advertising by administering development, review and approval of campaigns and related marketing materials
  • Analyze account performance and develop growth goals that are aligned with the overarching NHL Consumer Products business plans. 
  • Conduct periodic business meetings with licensees to provide brand updates, evaluate performance, retail placement and growth opportunities.    
  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal colleagues including VP’s, brand marketing, NHL team concessionaires, retail, legal and finance to share information serve, develop and further the business. 
  • Create materials for presentations, sales meetings, and licensing summits.  
  • Attend trade shows and special events 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong account management and customer service skills.
  • Apparel/soft goods product expertise and experience.
  • Aptitude and experience with brand strategy in connection with building customer awareness, preference and brand affinity.   
  • Strong sales orientation
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
  • Strong decision making, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Above average communication presentation and interpersonal skills.  
  • Experience in entertainment, sports, hockey a plus.  

Salary Range for this role: $95K to $105K
