Position Summary/Description
The Fan Development Intern will work with the Customer Sales and Service departments to help nurture and grow our fan base.  Though the candidate will report into a specific manager, they need to feel comfortable with receiving direction from others as projects arise.  The internship involves assisting with the development and day-to-day execution of activities and events including providing support with game day needs, the development of relationships with current and prospective Season Ticket Holders and support of other related initiatives.  Candidates should be reliable, flexible and passionate with a willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Service, Fan Relations
  • Help to coordinate effective communication for Season Ticket Members regarding events and ticketing
  • Support the Fan Relations Team by replying to emails that come into the Customer Service inbox
  • Participate in game night responsibilities including Guest Services, in-seat visits, assist with Audi quattro Seats and other duties as needed
  • Implement and set-up initiatives to help retain Season Tickets Members including events and other ‘day making’ initiatives
  • Follow-up after game nights with Season Ticket Members who had questions or concerns
Collaborate with others to plan and execute Season Ticket Member events
Sales, Customer Sales and Service
  • Work closely with the Sales Team to sell Season Ticket Waiting List (Warming House) deposits, Suites & Group Tickets
  • Must be comfortable with making a HIGH VOLUME of phone calls to prospective Season Ticket Members or Group Buyers or Suite Buyers 
  • Ability to work the majority of game nights at the designated Sales space inside Xcel Energy Center
  • Represent the Minnesota Wild at community events and promote the Warming House, a waiting list for Season Tickets
  • Assist the Sales Team with day-to-day projects and needs
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
  •  Recent college graduate
  •  Customer service or sports industry experience preferred along with a degree in areas of sports management, sales, marketing, public relations, communications and/or business management
Knowledge & Experience
  • Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with database management tools (i.e. CRM)

 Work Conditions
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and/or holidays (approx. 40 hours per week)
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc.  
  • Ability to lift at least 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds
