Accounting and Finance: Financial/Data Analyst
Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (“AEG”) is a subsidiary of The Anschutz Company and one of the leading sports and entertainment presenters in the world. AEG owns a collection of companies including multi-use facilities such as STAPLES Center and StubHub! Center in Southern California, several sports franchises including the Los Angeles Kings (NHL) and Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS) and AEG Presents, one of the world's leading concert promotions and touring companies. AEG is also currently overseeing the development of L.A. LIVE, 4 million sq. ft. downtown L.A. sports, residential and entertainment district.

The Data Analyst/Database Administrator will apply their technical expertise to build, optimize, and maintain conceptual and logical database models for the Business Analytics team. This individual will gain knowledge across a variety of disciplines and help the LA Kings and AEG Sports teams improve their businesses based on insights gleaned from data.

  • Administer enterprise data warehouse, keeping it up and running smoothly 24/7, provide a seamless, accurate flow if information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.
  • Maintain code-base (SQL) used to drive analytics efforts, and recommend opportunities for improvement. 
  • Work with analytics team to outline the specific data needs for each project.
  • Enforce best practices and alignment with research, forecasting, and analytics.
  • Use tools and scripting languages like Python, R, Excel, and others to work efficiently at scale. 
  • Enforce data hygiene. 
  • Define security and backup procedures.
  • Coordinate with Analytics department to identify future needs and requirements 

  • Proficiency in SQL (Postgres preferred) (or similar language aimed at querying relational databases)
  • Proficiency in Excel (Conditional formulas, etc)
  • In-depth understanding of database structure principles
  • Experience with data management, specifically with validating and auditing data and reports from multiple systems
  • Experience manipulating large data sets
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance
  • Experience communicating the results of analyses to influence overall strategy
  • Experience with Python, R, or a similar scripting language
  • Familiarity with data modeling, predictive analysis, and data visualization
  • Familiarity with APIs 
  • Familiarity with SAS
  • Strong project management skills


  • Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year)
  • Area of Study: Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or similar    
  • 1+ years related experience
