Facility Operations/Event Staff: Facility/Venue Management
JOB SUMMARY:
The Event Services Manager for the Comerica Center will coordinate events from initial inquiry through the planning stages, up to on-site management the day/night of the event. The Event Services Manager has the opportunity to serve as the main point of contact for Comerica Center tenants and will provide general support as needed for other events.
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Serves as the liaison and client representative to provide planning, implementation, and delivery of all assigned events.
  • Creates and follows through on events from initial client meetings, preparation of client estimates / rental agreements through final review.
  • Develops strategies to increase operational efficiency and client satisfaction of each event
  • Conducts physical inspections of all areas of the facility to ensure accurate event setup and safety for patrons.
  • Coordinates event schedules with contracted staffing companies provide guidance and supervision during events and follow up after events to ensure proper review.
  • Communicates all event requirements to appropriate departments/individuals.
  • Sets expectations for guest services, building security, emergency preparation, and crowd control procedures for assigned events; monitors compliance and responds to concerns as needed.
  • Serves as initial contact with 3rd party vendors and leads weekly vendor meeting
  • Interfaces with Frisco Police and Frisco Fire to ensure customer safety and building compliance 
  • Creates and maintains event files for all events.
  • Builds strong client relationships and pursues client information from other facilities to gain insight and knowledge into the event’s history.
  • Assists with site visits for prospective clients.
  • Compiles event expenses and assists with event reconciliations
  • Assists with contract management and compliance
  • Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Performs the physical duties of the job; walks / stands extensively.
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience in Sports / Entertainment Event Management.
  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred but not required.
 
Physical Demands & Working Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment with noise levels usually moderate.
