The Executive Chef of Food and Beverage is responsible for the day to day management and operation of the food service for PNC Arena. The Ideal candidate should have 5+ years of hands on food production for large venue and management experience, preferably in an arena/stadium setting.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Establish premium area menu content and standards of food quality
  • Ensure execution of all menu items
  • Regularly benchmark with guests and outlets to incorporate feedback into menu       development
  • Design menus for home and away teams that are healthy and athlete friendly
  • Maintain menus for arena concessions that are up to current trends and are executed efficiently
  • Knowledge of bakery items (rolls, desserts, pastries, and doughs) 
  • Achieve food cost and labor costs associated with arena standards
  • Actively pursue a favorable menu mix to maximize bottom line
  • Responsible for all ordering and inventory of main cooler, freezer, dry goods and paper goods in premium areas
  • Schedule and process time for premium culinary department
  • Collaborate with building/team management to improve working relationships with vendors 
  • Responsible for hiring, training, development management of premium culinary staff 
  • Promote a cooperative work environment that maximizes productivity and morale
  • Setting of proper staffing levels to ensure proper labor costs against the level of service that is required for events
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 5+ years of proven culinary leadership and management in a food and beverage environment
  • Knowledge of dietary restrictions and food allergies recommended
  • Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to details required
  • Strong Verbal and written communication skills required
  • The candidate should be a proven leader. 
  • Availability to work collaboratively with others, establish a rapport and build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights, weekends as well as games and events as necessary
  • Microsoft office, Outlook, Excel and Word related computer skills required
  • Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
