 The Boston Bruins Foundation is searching for a qualified, detail oriented and organized Finance Graduate Assistant to focus on the financial and operations side of the business. This position is a full time, hourly role, reporting directly to the Foundation Director.

Responsibilities:
Financial clerical duties: 
  •  Ensuring invoices are coded to the proper accounts and departments. 
  • Working closely with Finance team to accurately process transactions. 
  • Updating and maintaining vendor files manually and electronically. 
  • Resolving invoice and payment discrepancies. 
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries. 
  • Verification and request of all monthly vendor statements. 

Data entry duties:
  • Data entry in MS Excel, Crowdrise, processing of forms 

Other duties:
  • Assist Foundation Coordinator, Foundation Director and Silent Auction Manager with other assigned duties such as counting cash, assisting with credit card sales processing, assisting with 50/50 financials, and attending games. 
  • Assist with current initiatives and future planning within the foundation. 

Qualifications:
Education: Some College preferred but not required.
Experience: 0-1 years’ experience in financial or accounting environment. Experience with cash handling, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
Detail oriented and organization is key to this role. Ability to work in a fast paced environment as part of a team and independently.
Experience or interest in a non-profit/ sports organization preferred.
Experience with AP TRAC or Eventbrite is a plus.

Other Details:
The Co-op student would be employed for their 12 month term. 
Pay rate is $14 per hour based on experience. 
The role would be 40 hours per week. Students are required to arrange their own transportation (parking or MBTA, etc.)
