The organization is on the rise and is experiencing success both on and off the ice. Led by new General Manager Bill Zito, the Panthers are off to their best start in franchise history. Off the ice, the business team is seeing growth across all key metrics including ratings, social engagement and a busy 2022 concert schedule. Meanwhile the organization is expanding outside of FLA Live Arena, and recently purchased the FTL War Memorial in Downtown Fort Lauderdale to build a new practice facility and concert venue.



Job Summary:
The Florida Panthers seek an enthusiastic, creative, dedicated and highly organized individual for a Game Presentation Manager position.  The Game Presentation Manager is the departments primary administer and producer for non-game Panther events.  This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Game Presentation.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Pre-production and execution for designated Panthers and non-Panthers live events.  Such as: Watch Parties, Seaton Ticket holder events, Meet the Team, Orange Bowl Classic, etc.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training and management of stage managers and additional support staff
  • Oversee departmental revenue programs. Including developing and executing marketing plans, budgets, game nights sales and recaps
  • Coordinate and manage invoices, billing, purchasing and tracking departmental budgets
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and partners
  • Oversee and manage scheduling and payroll for all in-game talents including Panthers Vision crew, DJ, organist, mascots, ROAR Corps and additional performers
  • Assist with the production of Panthers home game elements and special events. Including: Rehearsals, Post game sales events, Special Theme Night Activation, etc.
  • Oversee special effects staff and equipment maintenance/refills. This includes lighting, CO2 system, hazers, streamer cannons and new elements
  • Create an environment in which every type of fan can enjoy. Including creative intermissions, promotional hits and events
  • Assist with the writing of public address announcements, game scripts and rundowns as needed
  • Additional projects tasks and events assigned
 



Supervisory Responsibilities:                           
Directly supervise assigned part-time game presentation staff.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training; planning assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining colleagues; addressing complaints and solving problems.



 



Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Event Management, Live Arts or related field of study and a minimum of two-years’ experience stage managing NHL/AHL or NBA/WNBA games; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Script Writing Experience preferred.
  • Must be highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-starter with a high degree of enthusiasm, creative vision and ability to lead in a high-stress environment.
  • Be able to make decisions in a fast-paced atmosphere.
  • Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
 



Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is an exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
