Role Summary:

Reporting to the Director, Product Marketing, the Coordinator, Product Marketing is responsible for supporting the marketing and sales of Oilers ticket products and customer touchpoints. This role focuses heavily on the marketing automation software on the marketing side and will develop, implement and train others on best practices in email and other marketing automation uses. This role liaises with Business Intelligence and Digital Media.

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support Oilers ticketing strategy, marketing and sales including but not limited to:
    • Season Seat campaigns
    • Season Seat Holder touchpoints: communications, events and packaging
    • Game Sales campaigns, communications and events
    • Other events such as Skills Competition and Fan Appreciation Night
  • Develop, optimize and support the Marketing Automation (Email Marketing) channel on the Marketing side
    • Develop processes for creating and scheduling efficient and effective emails
    • Create, edit, send and measure emails
    • Develop best practices and train other users
    • Manage ad space, content, frequency and reporting
    • Optimize Marketing Automation tools for reaching current and new audiences
    • Liaise closely with the Marketing Automation Specialist as well as Digital Media
  • Support ticket customer events, communications and touchpoints, including
    • Holiday Shop and Skate
    • Meet the Team Event
  • Support research initiatives on OEG customers and fan base
    • Support product/event surveys/polls
    • Support ticketholder surveys and focus groups
    • Assist with other departmental research
  • Support the monitoring of program budgets and expenditures

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Degree or diploma in a marketing, communications, business or sports management, or equivalent
  • 1-3 years' experience working in marketing, communications, digital media and/or marketing automation
  • Experience with Marketing Automation platforms will be considered an asset
  • Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Experience promoting products, events and/or services
  • Professional writing experience is preferred
  • Proven aptitude for technology, learning new software, and systems
  • Proven attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to build relationships and deliver excellence in client service
  • Highly organized, resourceful and proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly driven to understand the business of our customers and deliver results
  • Ability to work events on weekends and evenings
