Responsibilities

  • Welcome all members to Archetype with the goal to be of service.
  • Build Archetype Studio usage/class attendance and retain current members.
  • Provide a clear introduction of the class and ensure members are comfortable, excited, and supported.
  • Collaborate with Manager, Group Performance to deliver well-structured programs incorporating the Archetype Methodology.
  • Lead dynamic, safe, and effective classes.
  • Keep current pulse of fitness, health and wellness industry to detect market trends and related information for the development of innovative approaches.
  • Committed to teaching to all levels and modify exercises to accommodate various skill levels.
  • Challenge and support members to work towards their health and fitness goals in a place that is respectful, engaging and fresh
  • Handle member concerns when applicable.
  • Set up the studio/equipment before class, re-set the studio after class and ensure all equipment is clean.
  • Assist when needed with Archetype tours and membership sales.
  • Attend all team meetings, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Represent Archetype in community and corporate programs.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year group training experience in a club environment.
  • Must hold Fitness Certification from such companies as Canfitpro, ACSM, ACE, NAMS, NCSA, AFFA, or NFPT
  • Must hold and maintain current CPR and AED certification
  • Educated in programming for each muscle group, methods for warm-up, cardiorespiratory training, muscular conditioning, and flexibility training
  • Strong desire to learn and professionally develop to achieve goals
  • Thorough understanding of human physiology, exercise technique, and body mechanics
  • Experience using MindBody Operating System will be considered an asset
  • Must possess a team player mentality
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and customer service skill
  • Effective computer skills; Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
  • Enthusiastic, and able to build relationships with members and Archetype crew.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proven commitment to continuing education in health and fitness
  • Punctual and prepared for all appointments with members or staff
  • Thorough understanding of social media etiquette and willingness to represent and promote Archetype online
  • Must be familiar with all emergency procedures
  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40lbs
  • Able to work mornings, evenings and weekends
