The Coordinator, Memberships will be an integral part of the member experience. The Coordinator, Memberships will work closely with the Membership Advisor (MA) to deliver a seamless, exceptional experience for new members. The Coordinator, Memberships will be responsible for ensuring members are welcomed in an organized and encouraging manner, and that they are given the tools and resources to be successful in their fitness journey.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, welcome and fully integrate new members into Archetype
  • Provide a positive first impression to potential guests (prospects) and all members, actively communicating and following up on their experience
  • Arrange welcome meetings with new members and provide a well-designed introduction to the Archetype product, including a tour of the facility and orientation to various technologies and mobile applications
  • Fully understand and promote the benefits of our Performance Coaching and Studio offerings to guests and members, encouraging their participation in our services
  • Communicate daily appointments to the concierge team in advance and ensure all staff are prepared to welcome new members by name
  • Challenge and support members to work towards their health and fitness goals in a place that is respectful, engaging and fresh
  • Challenge the team to provide seamless and intuitive service to our members and provide supportive feedback and guidance
  • Support the Membership Advisor with member follow ups and engagement
  • Complete membership administration including forms, payments and change requests
  • Complete monthly reports based on member activities and analyze results
  • Create program with detailed member profiles to allow team to personalize interactions with members
  • Manage the member appreciation program to ensure members are recognized for established milestones
  • Participate in outside events and business opportunities that may allow us to network and gain new members
  • Quickly rectify member concerns and service difficult members in a confident and professional manner
  • Be present on the floor and engage with members daily
  • Attend mandatory and optional team meetings, training and workshops
  • Represent Archetype in the community and through corporate programs
  • Must be familiar with all emergency procedures and crisis management, and be comfortable with the use of Incident Reports and Logbooks
  • Participate in the Health and Safety Committee
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Post- Secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Management or Business Administration
  • 1- 3 years of previous sales/retail experience, experience in the fitness industry is desirable
  • Proven experience in a guest relations role would be considered an asset
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite of tools: Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook
  • New business opening experience would be a distinct advantage
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Mindbody
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Well organized and strong time management abilities
  • Elevated capacity to deliver on exceptional hospitality and service
  • Must be able to follow up with members in a timely and professional manner
  • Dedicated to building long term relationships with members and team
  • Punctual and prepared for all appointments with members or staff
  • Committed to inspiring and motivating members to live better
  • Strong desire to learn and professionally develop
  • Passion to achieve goals
  • Must hold and maintain current CPR certification
  • Able to work evenings and weekends as required
