Communications/Community Relations: Community Relations
The Community Relations Coordinator for the South Carolina Stingrays will be responsible for building and strengthening our community relationships and brand identity in the Charleston community.

Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred.
  • Ability to travel & work on weekends
  • Must have transportation
  • Available to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well in a team environment 
  • Must be focused, extremely detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and complete on-time is critical

Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with area organizations to promote the team, players, coaches and mascot in the community
  • Assist with coordination of Game Presentation elements; in-game promotions, promotional team, ice crew members and mascot character development 
  • Schedule all bookings and appearances for Cool Ray
  • Create profitable fundraising events that will increase positive visibility in the community for the team
  • Work with the Marketing Coordinator to enhance Cool Ray’s brand identity on Instagram, Tik-Tok, Facebook, and more 
  • Assist Director of Community Relations with player appearances and signed memorabilia 
  • Responsible for overseeing and improving the following community initiatives:
    • Cool Ray’s Kids Club
    • Hometown Hero 
    • GOAL Program
    • Hat Trick for Reading Program
  • Fulfill outside requests for charitable, promotional, and community appearances and donations
  • Work with non-profit groups to sell tickets as fundraisers for their organizations
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
