Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
Purpose of the Position:
To execute all game night elements, a strong team is needed to provide fans with an unforgettable experience once the doors open.  This starts with the pre-game preparation and continues through the evening until the post-game tear down is complete.  With the Royals, a high emphasis is placed on in-game entertainment during our production to ensure fans want to return and see something new every game. This ranges from on-ice skits to videoboard games and videos. The position is oriented toward recent or soon-to-be college graduates who are starting their professional journey in sports. Hours are flexible to work with your schedule. A start time would be in Fall 2023 or Winter 2024.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Creative Director to keeps our game presentation fresh and fun, by pitching funny and weird ideas
  • Come up with scripts and prompts for skits features fans and mascot
  • Act as a secondary mascot when called upon
  • Assist with game day preparation including but not limited to concourse set-up, intermission activities, in-game sponsorship fulfillment, promotional items, etc
  • Assist with the execution of pre-game elements and intermission activities
  • Assist with tear-down or turnover preparation for the next game
  • Adhere to all arena policies and procedures, as well as other duties assigned by management
  • Keep promo closet containing giveaways, costumers, and promotion materials inventoried and organized
  •  You are expected to “buy in” to everything we do, and treat it with sincerity, but also be willing to provide feedback to your supervisor in the instance you think something can be improved

 Skills/Qualifications:
  • Expected to work all 36 home games, or as many as possible
  • A portfolio of any photos/videos of fan engagement would be highly appreciated
  • Outgoing personality and comfortable in front of and around crowds of people
  • Teamwork oriented mindset
  • Adaptability and Time Management
  • Excellent Verbal Communication
