The Reading Royals are looking for outgoing, energetic and creative individuals to be a part of the “Team.”  Interns must be comfortable and thrive on fan interaction and be able to work the majority of Royals home games for the entirety of the 2019-20 season.

 Marketing, Game Day, Video Design and Graphic Design Internship

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Represent the Royals organization during outreach efforts

·         Monitor and report on in house marketing and community relations efforts

·         Assist in creating marketing plans for social media, ticket sales, and promotions

·         Work with the marketing department to produce great sales collateral

·         Create and maintain relationships with clients and fans

·         Attend planning, pre-game and staff meetings

·         Generate visual displays and coordinate merchandising marketing efforts and sales 

·         Evaluate and fill donation requests

·         Assist with promotional events both during games and at community appearances

·         Set-up and tear down of game day activities

·         Create and assist with promotional ideas and events 

·         Make sure all details pertaining to game days are carried out in a smooth and professional manner.

·         Greet fans, hand out programs and giveaways

·         Sell Chuck-A-Puck, 50/50 and raffles

·         Assist the MC and execute in-game promotions

·         Assist with in-house games and pre-game activities with the team

·         Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements:

·         Strong organizational, leadership, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

·         Must show great work ethic, have positive/energetic attitude, work well in a team environment

·         Ability to attend the majority of Royals home games (including weekends and playoffs)

·         Must be self-motivated

·         Microsoft Office experience

·         Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and stand on feet for long periods of time

 

Notes:

·         Position is NOT paid

·         Hours: Game days, 4-5 hours before game time until end of cleanup. Business hours based on internship requirements.

·         Every intern is provided a pre-game meal
