Marketing: Game Operations/Presentation
The Event Presentation Coordinator assists the Manager of Event Presentation in all areas of the game experience. The individual will associate produce Chicago Blackhawks home games and events, including pre-production, live production, field producing live & pre-taped segments, operations, etc. This individual is also responsible for managing and helping coordinate all in-arena, on-ice, and event activities/promotions/operations, and will also assist in the management of select part-time/game night staff. In addition, the coordinator will build relationships with United Center Scoreboard personnel, and will be part of a team that strives to enhance the fan experience at Blackhawks games and events.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize and execute an array of elements necessary for the in-game entertainment Chicago Blackhawks games and special events including but not limited to:
  • In-Game Promotions, Videoboard Features, Entertainment activations, Fan Engagement elements, Game Operations and Pre-/Post-Game Ceremonies
  • Assist in the creation of game rundowns, scripts, and all necessary game day documentation
  • Serve as a lead stage manager to facilitate the execution of all game day elements
  • Coordinate all aspects of our game & event Stage Managers, Hosts, DJ/PA, Hype Crew, etc. Including scheduling, appraising performance, game/event assignments, uniforms/wardrobe, props/materials, and payroll
  • Execute pre-game preparation and setup for various promotions and special event nights
  • Organize and distribute all game night inventory and supporting assets
  • Assist with ancillary events in and out of the arena when necessary
  • Coordinate all in-game message requests 
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Film/Television, Media, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years experience with a professional sports franchise
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills and the ability to organize resources, establish priorities and develop, plan, and implement short and long-range goals
  • Excellent attention to detail, including presentation, writing and conceptual skill
  • Previous script-writing experience preferred
  • Prior live event and entertainment experience
  • Strong service orientation, and solution driven approach
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects
  • A creative eye for talent, trends, and pop culture; appreciation for music and performance arts with a sports mindset
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekend, holidays as dictated by the event and game schedule
