Summary: 
 
The Business Strategy and Analytics group functions as an enterprise-wide service and corporate development group focused on delivering insights and analyses that drive current performance and long-term corporate health (e.g., strategic planning, asset allocation, decision analyses, and deal structuring). This role will collaborate with Blackhawks leadership to identify and develop plans to fuel consumer-facing technology initiatives. You will craft, implement, and assist in the overall technology strategy while working to deliver best-in-class digital experiences for Blackhawks fans around the world. You will partner with functional departments to foster a culture that focuses on delivering impact through emerging technology and advancing long-range strategic objectives for the organization.

Primary Responsibilities
 
  • Assist in defining the overall strategy for our new Chicago Blackhawks mobile app 
  • Analyze growth potential of emerging technologies through research, analysis, and knowledge of marketplace dynamics  
  • Assist in the development of a potential technology accelerator program  
  • Develop a portfolio of innovation initiatives for new and existing business inclusive of: Esports, Sports betting, Blockchain, NFTs, Gamification, Web3, and how best to navigate the Metaverse.  
  • Devise and execute experiments to test the benefits of various technologies and products 
  • Identify and vet technology needs that will elevate our ability to deliver best-in-class experiences  
  • Develop strategic technology plans, including estimated level of risk, considerations, and cost  
  • Evaluate emerging technologies in the S&E industry and beyond 
 
Qualifications & Requirements: 
 
  • 2+ years of experience in consumer-facing technology or innovation preferred  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, technology, engineering, or related field 
  • Experience leading strategy and communications for a consumer facing mobile application 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the power to develop creative and efficient solutions 
  • Passion for building exceptional products and solving customer and business problems  
  • Capacity to lead and work collaboratively in a consultative role at all levels of an organization 
  • Ability to manage priorities and coordinate tasks to solve day-to-day challenges in a dynamic environment  
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to demonstrate clear, concise articulation of scenarios, options, risks, mitigations, and recommendations
