ocV!BE, the premier mixed-use community and live entertainment district, is coming to Anaheim in 2024. This $3 billion, 115-acre, mixed-use space will surround its anchor, Honda Center, with new live entertainment venues, dining and retail offerings, and public amenities. 

The Construction Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing and providing financial accounting support for the ocV!BE development, including general ledger close activities for construction and development-related accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement and reporting for the real estate portfolio. This position reports to Director, Real Estate Accounting & Finance.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with and manage all accounting associated with the construction projects, including construction job-related billings, accounts payable, loan draws, change orders, and contract administration
  • Work closely with Project Managers to review contracts and project budgets
  • Coordinate with Construction Administration and Accounts Payable to ensure all necessary waivers and forms are provided and reviewed
  • Responsible for month-end activities such as miscellaneous journal entries, loan draws, project job costing, project budget analysis, construction related account reconciliations, and supporting project managers with special projects and analysis
  • Create dynamic budgeting/forecasting models to enhance budget analytics and tracking

Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting construction or development environment required
  • Prior experience in a construction and development environment required
  • Working with real estate accounting software preferred
  • Advanced Excel software experience preferred
  • Understanding of development and construction project life cycle
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Must be self-motivated, able to learn on own, and work independently towards a deadline
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Education -  Bachelor's Degree
Experience Required -  5+ Year
