Sponsorship Sales & Activation: Corporate Sponsor

Job Description
The position will be primarily responsible for the sponsorship fulfillment, hospitality and activation of the Washington Kastles. The successful candidate will need to assist in maintaining strong relationships with existing corporate partners and developing new corporate partners. This seasonal position reports directly to the General Manager and has significant, near-daily interaction with the Kastles’ executive staff.
 
Desired Experience
Candidate must have 2-3 years of sponsorship sales and/or activation experience, preferably within the sports industry. Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word are an absolute must. Candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as ability to perform in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
 
Responsibilities
  • Manage the following areas as part of the team’s sponsorship fulfillment: (1) Client hospitality, including catering, (2) Creation and hanging of stadium signage, (3) In-match elements such as PA reads, on-court events and Jumbotron presentations, (4) Sponsor luncheons and events.
  • Ensure that all sponsorship contracts are fulfilled and all sponsor expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Assisting the executive staff with sponsorship presentations.
  • Coordinate and execute all sponsor lunches and sponsor tennis clinics.
  • Designs customized sponsorship packages in line with the marketing goals and objectives of existing sponsors and prospects. Continuously generates and uncovers potential clients and sales leads. 
  • Manages contract administration of sponsorship deals to include issuance, servicing and renewal. Ensures contracts are fully executed and on file. 
  • Provides weekly status report on all sales activity both confirmed and projected. 
  • Continuously communicates with senior management of sponsors to ensure satisfaction with partnership and value.
  • Responds to call-in requests and handles necessary follow through with potential sponsors.
  • Other tasks as needed and as assigned by the General Manager and executive staff of the Washington Kastles.
 
Seasonal position will begin on March 5 and end on September 28. This seasonal position has the potential to become a full-time, year round position following the conclusion of the Kastles season in July. That evaluation and offer (if applicable) will be completed in mid-to-late August.
 
All seasonal positions require a full-time commitment during business hours. Significant weekend and evening hours will also be required, including attendance at all Kastles home matches. Compensation ranges from $650-800 per week on a contract basis, is dependent on experience, and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
 
All seasonal employees must provide their own computers for use when working with the Washington Kastles.
