The USTA Broadcasting is searching for an energetic, detail-oriented, driven person to join our team as a Production Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of production content, logistics and business operations which includes, but is not limited to, support for business objectives related to the US Open Tennis Championships, as well as other USTA properties, activities, initiatives, and events. Proof of Covid vaccination required
Responsibilities
  • Manage technical, logistical, financial and administrative aspects of USTA Broadcast properties amongst domestic and international broadcast partners
  • Manage and facilitate contractual agreements for vendors
  • Manage and facilitate footage license agreements
  • Create and manage project timelines for USTA Broadcast facilities.
  • Manage the creation and distribution of time-sensitive materials for broadcast partners, independent contractors and vendors in preparation of USTA Broadcast events.
  • Oversee hiring logistics and scheduling, as well as supervising independent contractors and vendors, for USTA Broadcast events
  • Manage and facilitate sensitive information internally and externally as directed (budgetary, fee-related, etc.).
  • Manage the relationship with our footage archival partner, Veritone, and assist with the on-boarding of partners utilizing the Digital Media Hub
  • Create, organize and distribute show production elements and materials (i.e. Commercial Trafficking, Production Memos, Production Summaries, Graphics & Animation Packages).
  • Manage invoice reconciliation and budgetary reporting per event
  • Manage USTA Broadcast post-action reporting for all events.
Qualifications
  • Must possess strong organizational skills (i.e. budgeting time and prioritizing workload, accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, ability to implement systematic processes and organize information flow).
  • Must understand the value of synergy in a dynamic organization.
  • Must possess strong communication skills (i.e. clear and concise in all forms of communication, ability to handle high-volume email and phone traffic, as well as in-person interactions).
  • Has demonstrated ability to react quickly and positively under a wide variety of sensitive production situations that arise and are subject to continual change.
  • Has demonstrated ability to take initiative; suggests ideas and solutions to problems that arise or before they occur.
  • Has experience in various aspects of production management (i.e. processing contracts and invoices, creating, maintaining and distributing production information, travel management, production personnel scheduling/staffing).
  • Has experience supervising staff and vendors; as well as experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Has experience working in live and taped television environments.
  • Has extensive knowledge of the operational and logistical aspects of production planning.
  • Has 2+ years of financial management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Suite (i.e. Google Drive, Gmail).
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud systems (i.e. Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator).
  • A minimum of 3+ years of production and/or operations experience.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional days/hours in lead up to and during events.
